Small dragon. Enormous gem-hoarding problem.
A shelf for the purple dragon: the original PlayStation adventures, handheld detours, the Legend trilogy, a few old phone oddities and the return trips. Plenty of gems. Absolutely no intention of leaving one behind.
The released adventures, pocket detours and remastered collection, in first-release order.
A small purple dragon, a very large gem problem, and a world full of statues that really ought to be dragons. Charge first; check the ledge afterwards.
Spyro’s holiday takes a wrong turn into Avalar. There are orbs to find, locals to help, and Moneybags waiting to charge for the privilege.
Stolen dragon eggs, a bigger playable gang, and the occasional skateboard. Saving the world apparently leaves plenty of time for side activities.
The fairy rescue operation fits into a Game Boy Advance, although judging those little isometric jumps is another matter. Bring Sparx and a careful eye.
Somebody has pinched the fireflies, leaving the dragons without their usual flame. Another pocket adventure, another perfectly good excuse to collect everything.
Ripto returns and the dragonflies need rounding up. Spyro adds a few different breaths to the toolkit, including bubbles. Dragon business gets strange sometimes.
An early phone game with a surprisingly modest crisis: the fairies need their outfits before the royal ball. Even dragons get landed with party admin.
Back to the GBA for more gems, quests and trouble with Ripto. Same game, different regional name; the shelf labels are doing their best.
Spyro meets Crash in a GBA crossover full of minigames. Cortex and Ripto have teamed up, which sounds like a meeting nobody should have allowed.
Dark Gems are making a mess of the Dragon Realms. Spyro has help from a cheetah, a dragonfly and a flying penguin, so the situation is clearly under control.
An old phone adventure sends Spyro after the pieces of the machine meant to keep Ripto contained. There are fairies to rescue along the way, too.
Spyro picks up experience points, martial arts and touchscreen spell casting. The DS chapter takes the purple dragon somewhere a little stranger than the usual gem hunt.
A separate side-scrolling phone adventure, with dragon elders to rescue from the Shadow Realm. That familiar name has done a little extra travelling.
A fresh origin story trades some of the sightseeing for elemental powers and a lot more fighting. New continuity, familiar purple troublemaker.
The middle chapter carries on the darker story, with strange visions and another looming disaster. Spyro’s calendar remains thoroughly overbooked.
Spyro and Cynder join forces for the trilogy’s finale. Two dragons, one enormous problem, and rather a lot riding on how this ends.
The adventure spills out onto the shelf with figures and a Portal of Power. Spyro helps launch a much bigger gang here; this is where the Skylanders branch begins.
The original three adventures get a fresh coat of paint. The dragons, orbs and eggs are all back, along with that suspicious feeling there is still one gem behind you.
Another adventure on the horizon. No release date to circle just yet.
A new Toys for Bob adventure gives Spyro proper flight through a new realm. One for the watchlist while we wait to see where those bigger wings take him. The release date is still to be announced.
